Stephen Boik
President


A resident of the western suburbs of Chicago, Stephen is married with two children and has been a police officer since 2006 at the rank of patrolman. Stephen has a Bachelors Degree from Ashford University in Criminal Justice with a minor in Homeland Security. Some of Stephen's family served in the United States Air Force, his grandfather a veteran of WWI and his uncle a veteran of WWII. Stephen is the youngest of five children, born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago. Stephen's experience in charity fundraising includes, Toys for Tots through his employer and also assisting in the aid of sick or injured first responders. Stephen, along with the other members of the board felt that it was imperative not only to help injured or sick police officers but to include all first responders and military personnel. John Visvardis
Vice President


A native of the southwest suburbs, John, his wife Sara and daughter Mia are no stranger to the first responder family. John has been a Deputy Sheriff with the Cook County Sheriff's Department since 2003and his blue line blood runs deep. HIs uncle, a retired Sergeant for the Cicero Police Department served the town of Cicero for over 25 years. John and the Visvardis family are humbled and honored to be a part of Help the Heroes Foundation and are looking forward to helping those families in need. Jack Bridson
Secretary


A resident of the west suburbs of Chicago, Jack and his girlfriend are both in the law enforcement/first responder field. Jack, a 26 year veteran of the Bellwood Police Department currently holds the rank of Commander. Jack is the oldest of five children and has many family members who are retired or active military. Jack's father, uncle and grandfather all served in the military, his father in Vietnam and his grandfather in WWII. Jack also has family that are retired from law enforcement so being a part of this charity hold a special place in his heart.

Valerie Marszalek-Boik
Treasurer

A resident of the western suburbs Valerie is no stranger to fundraising, she has helped out many charities obtain donations for events. Valerie currently holds a Masters Degree from Concordia University in Clinical Psychology. Valerie is married with two children and runs the IT portion of the charity as well as the finances. Valerie is no stranger to the military and law enforcement family, her husband is a current police officer and has many family members that served in the military.
